Al-Ahly won the championship in Egypt football without any loss


"Al-Ahly'' has officially won friday the football premier league (D1) championship in Egypt football after beating his opponent Ghazl Al-Mahala by scoring two goals to one.

The "Red Devils", who won the title seven games before the end of the championship, finished the D1 without any defeat. During his itinerary invincible championship, al-Ahly won 24 games and two ties, carrying out several records whose victory in 17 successive games and recording 74 points during the championship.

Al-Ahly, hungry for titles for four seasons, won all its previous defeats. He defeated all his opponents. He even tilt his rival Zamalek (former holder of the title) twice (4-2 and 3-0).

The "Red Devils" won not only the title but also the titles of best scorer in the championship (Emad Meteab, 15 goals), best player (Mohamad Abu Treka) and best technical director (Manuel Jose).

Despite its defeat against Ittihad of Alexandria (0 / 1), Enppi won 2nd place in the championship for the first time, surpassing the major clubs as Ismailli, Zamalek and Masri. He reserved his place the African Champions League.

At the last minute, Haras al-Hodoud, who came to D1 three years ago, broke his opponent Tersana (Arsenal) by 2 goals to 1 to be ranked 3rd and earned his ticket to attend the Cup of African confederation .

Ismaili, who finished the 2003-2004 championship in 3rd place, could not maintain its briliant performance and made a tie game (0 / 0) against "Suez Cement", thus losing the 3rd place, his favorite in the ten last  years, and ranked 4th.

Qualified for the first time in D1, "Suez Cement" had tremendous results in hoisting the 5th place after having tied game (0 / 0) against Ismaili.

Causant depression of its supporters, the former holder of the title "Zamalek" has played its worst season since its foundation. The team was, not only eliminated from the Cup of Egypt and the Arab chqmpions League, but also ranked 6th after a tie against "Baladeyet al-Mahala" (2 / 2) with a difference of 38 points with its rival Al-Ahly. Zamalek has only one chance to save his dignity: win the African Champions League.

With its loss (0-1) against "Assiut Cement", the club of Port-Said "Masri" was satisfied with the 7th place hoping to win the Cup of Egypt.

The famous Alexandrian "Ittihad" has been able to save itself and stay in D1 after beating Enppi (1 / 0) and retain the 8th place. The club was saved at the last minute.

Safe to stay in D1, Ghazl Al-Mahala celebrated with al-Ahly its detention of title by losing (1-2), a result which might be different if the team  was in danger. But, 9th place was enough.

At the end of his first season in D1 and with a victory by two goals to zero, Talae al-Guish has benefited from playing against Mansoura, the only team sure to go down to D2 before the 26eme day, to confirm its 10th place in D1 and compete in another season.

"Assiut Cement," newcomer to D1, was able to save themselves by beating Masri by 1 goal to 0. The 11th place was enough for the team to stay in D1.
Despite his tie (2 / 2) against Zamalek and his 12th place, "Baladeyet al-Mahala" left the D1 with Tersana and Mansoura, successively 13th and 14th.
